Ambassador Mariner and fellow PIAG Ambassadors from Tonga, Federated States of Micronesia and PNG’s CDA attended the 4^th July Independence reception at the United States Embassy in Beijing.  The US Ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns, during his official remarks recalled Thomas Jefferson’s words from 1776 –  “all men (and women) have certain inalienable rights which include life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.   The Executive Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu, represented the Chinese Government at the official event.
